As I think about how people encounter this website, I’m looking at the menu vs the 3 info boxes I have at the top. I think contextually the info boxes are a little more interesting that levels of folders, and what would you think if I deleted the menu bar and kept the three boxes, but fleshed out the info in them a little more? Thoughts?
I like both.
I’m with Bob 😎
Menus have the advantage of “no-brainer” standard interface but the boxes provide all at once experience
Maybe I’ll just keep both, then 🙂
Hi, I access your site via phone today, so I find that the boxes block the sub-pages main content. I.e. I have to scroll down past them to get to the pages main info (about me, appearances, etc.) They look very cool at the main site, though. So, a mix maybe?
Super congrats to your new site, by the way. Have been waiting for this.
Cheers!
This is something I was curious about myself, yes, on my phone it blocks as well, which makes me think I need to pick one or the other
I also like both, though you probably don’t need both on individual blog pages or might consider moving at least some of them to the side bar for these pages.
Since the phone UI doesn’t show a post until you scroll past the boxes, I thought I’d drop the top boxes. I like them, but people seem more trained to use menus. I might change it to boxes instead of menus down the road, but I’ll see. Doing a traditional 90s blog style with a lot in the sidebar
